The Voice

Shaphan then read the old book aloud to the king. ¹¹ While the king listened to the words of the book of law, he was filled with sorrow, and he tore his garments. ¹² Then the king gave a command to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam (Shaphan’s son), Achbor (Micaiah’s son), Shaphan the minister of state, and Asaiah (one of the king’s advisors).
